Heavy metal - embroidery exhibition 28 May-19 June 2011

 
An exhibition of work by the Isleworth & District Embroiderers' Guild, which includes unusual interpretations of the "heavy metal" theme. You may discover a recreation of Tijou's fine metalwork at Hampton Court Palace, a view of the Flying Scotsman or intricate lacework in gold thread,

Members of the Guild will be on hand to answer questions and encourage beginners. Some exhibits will be on sale and a selection of small items related to embroidery will be on available in the museum shop during the exhibition.

Admission to the Museum is free. Opening times 11-5 April to October, 11-4 November to March
